Our energy certainly ebbs and flows with seasons. Fall and winter, with longer nights, are an ideal time for the practice of sadhana. For thousands of years, this is the tribal time of fires in the night, of passing down stories and being together sharing silence.
This time of year, witnessing so many transitions, makes it easier for us to see the sacredness of everything that is always there. As it withers, nothing is taken for granted.
There’s simply more clarity for sacred reflection in observing the passing of the final moments of the year.
As nature brings this offer of serenity, there’s equally an invitation inward. But of course you get to choose whether to receive it or fill it with chaos and distractions. For those open to receiving it, this is the ideal time to look more deeply at your whole spiritual journey.
In the colder, quieter and darker hours you can come to experience your life more truthfully, making it a sacred period for deepening sadhana practice.
We can evolve our understanding of the purpose of this one particular lifetime. What is our deepest purpose and how do we come closer into alignment with it as our life?
“THE SEASONS of solitude CAN BE RECEIVED AS NATURAL TEACHERS OR times of SOCIAL PRESSURES. WHICH one IS OUR. INVITATION TO CHOOSE. ”
